Macarons Demystified! – Chef Susan Holding $40
When most people hear the word macaroon, they think of a chewy mound of shredded coconut, lightly sweetened and held together by egg whites. The macaron that will be covered in this class is a dainty French cream-filled sandwich cookie which, in its best form, will fill your soul with warm, fuzzy happiness after one bite. Though these delectable treats have been around since the 1500’s, they are super popular right now!
Chef Susan Holding: Susan earned the Diplome de Patisserie, with honors, in December 1999 from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. She owns The Little French Bakery just outside of the Baraboo, in the beautiful bluffs. In addition to creating fabulous delicacies she also offers hands-on cooking classes for small groups.
